1, Age Classification (apply to all applicants):

Youngster7 -9 Early Youth A 10 -12 Early Youth B13-15) Youth (16 -18 Young Adult 19– 25 Adult 26-35

2, Repertories (apply to all applicants):

Applicants in age classification Youngster, Early Youth A, Early Youth B will need to play two repertories, one assigned repertory and one self-choice repertory. Applicants in age classification Youth, Young Adult, Adult will need to play three Repertoires: one assigned repertory and two self –choice repertories

Youngster Assign repertory for this group is:

Valse Op 69 No 2 Time limit for self-choice repertory is: no exceeding 5 minutes.

Early Youth A Assigned repertory for this group is:

Valse Op 69 No 1 Time limit for self-choice repertory is no exceeding 6 minutes.

Early Youth B: Assigned repertory for this group is:

Nocturne Op 9 No 1 Time limit for self-choice repertory is no exceeding 7 minutes.

Youth Assigned repertory for this group is:

Polonaise Op 40 No 1. Time limit for two self-choice repertories is no exceeding 15 minutes.

Young Adult Assigned repertory for this group is:

Fantaisie-Impromptu Op 66 Time limit for two self-choice repertories is no exceeding 18 minutes.

Adult Assigned repertory for this group is:

Polonaise Op 53 Time limit for two self-choice repertories is no exceeding 20 minutes.

SStyles for self-choice repertory: Self-choice repertory cannot be the same style as the assigned repertory. Repertories for applicants in Classification;

Youth, Young Adult, Adult: all repertories must be different in style.

Sonata Op 49 No 2 1st MVT Time limit for self-choice repertory is no exceeding 6 minutes.

Early Youth B: Assigned repertory for this group is:

Sonata Op 13 3rd MVT Time limit for self-choice repertory is no exceeding 7 minutes.

Youth Assigned repertory for this group is:

Sonata Op 31 No 2 3rd MVT. Time limit for self-choice repertories is no exceeding 8minutes.

Young Adult Assigned repertory for this group is:

Sonata Op 27 No 2 3rdTime limit for self-choice repertories is no exceeding 9 minutes.

Adult Assigned repertory for this group is:

Sonata Op 57 3rd MVT Time limit for self-choice repertories is no exceeding 10 minutes.

Note: no repetition needed if plays more than two movements (apply to all applicants)

Competition Related Information

For For Performance Showcase: it is an opportunity for applicants who wish to experience the event but not to compete this time.

Awards: Competition awards include First, Second, Third, Fourth Honor Roll of each classification. Performance Showcase applicants will receive

“Talent Awards”.

Applications and Registration:

A. Early application and Early Registration are encouraged. To guarantee your acceptance, you should complete your registration by submitting a completed application form with the payment of the registration fee (non-fundable): $100 for competition, $35 for performance showcase. Please mail the check along with application to:

B. Competition/performance time will be email/mailed to you/your school/ instructors

C. Applicants need to submit two of recent passport photos, and evidence of identification.

D. All works must be performed from memory.

E. Recording or video tapping during the competition is forbidden.

F. Competitors are required to wear proper dress during competition.
